Business Development Representative

This role is responsible for generating and qualifying sales opportunities for follow-up by A.G. Salesworks clients.

The position entails heavy telemarketing, use of email, and other methods in order to target and qualify potential prospects. Candidates should have a proven track record of success calling on senior level corporate executives and the ability to identify key business issues, decision making processes, and the needs of the prospect as they pertain to the product or service being offered.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify potential prospects at companies within target markets.
  • Generate qualified sales opportunities for sales organization utilizing cold calling, targeted industry lists, web based industry databases and other lead generation methods.
  • Analysis and reporting from Sales Force Automation database
  • Manage the lead generation database using our sales force automation tool: document all cold calls, responses and company intelligence
  • Meeting cold call and lead generation goals
  • Follow-up with appropriate marketing materials
REQUIREMENTS
  • Two-plus years experience in an outbound sales environment positioning a service or technology solution.
  • Experience calling on senior executives within all size organizations.
  • Highly energetic and motivated; strong attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational, oral and written communication and customer service skills required.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent telephone selling skills are a must.
  • Solid computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and a Sales Force Automation Software package.
  • Experience with "Solution Selling" Sales Training a plus.
