Spreading Holiday Cheer

It's that time of year again.  The time of year when the AG Team never ceases to amaze with its holiday cheer.

We once again had a wonderfully mistake filled holiday party.  Tomorrow we'll be having an employee driven Holiday Pot Luck for lunch.  All great stuff for sure, but none of it compares to my favorite  helping out those in need and this is where the AG crew truly shines.

For the 4th year in a row we have sponsored a group of Massachusetts foster kids under the care of Dare Family Services.

Dare Family Services is a private, nonprofit social services agency. The primary service we provide is a highly intensive type of foster care. Dare provides foster homes for children who have been removed from their biological families due to abuse or neglect.  They operate through six regional offices across Massachusetts and one in Connecticut.  The team at Dare Family Services are selfless, hard working, dedicated, and kind.

Each year they ask us to be a corporate "Santa" for a group of children under their care.  The send me a list of children's names and gifts which I then forward out to the team here.  It rarely takes more than a few days for the conference table in my office to be piled high with iPod's, Footballs, Yankees gear (sadly), make-up, gift cards, etc. This year has been no different and I wanted to use my blog space today to thank my team for their positive energy and immediate willingness to do something kind for someone in need. I also wanted to take a special moment to recognize the team at Dare. Their dedication to children in need is something that many aspire to have, but few achieve. It's an honor to participate in their program once ever year.

I wish you all a Happy Holiday Season and thanks again for another great year!!!

Pete
